The organization that I chose to support is “Out of Darkness”, an anti-trafficking ministry with the goal of reaching those who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
I first heard about this mission at One Church, in Gahanna, Ohio. Stories were shared of restoration and lives being changed through the efforts of this organization. It truly touched my heart, and I knew I wanted to do what I could to support this ministry of reaching women and giving them hope. The Columbus chapter is supporting a safe house for women to live in order to start a new life.
The "Out of Darkness" values of humility, wisdom, and compassion are aligned with my own.
The phrase “find strength” is meant to represent the strength that these women embody as they leave the exploitation and start a new life.
"Finding strength can be experienced in the weight room while transcending into other aspects of one's life and journey."
In the same manner, finding strength can be experienced in the weight room while transcending into other aspects of one's life and journey.
I hope that each person who buys a shirt thinks of the women they are supporting, the strength they are enabling them to find, and the hope being restored.
